The Superintendent and Grounds Crew
Every great round starts with the condition of the course. Our superintendent and grounds crew work early each morning, often before sunrise, to ensure fairways, greens, tees, and roughs are ready for you. The superintendent plans the weekly mowing pattern, monitors irrigation schedules, and checks soil moisture levels across all eighteen holes. They also decide when to aerate, top-dress, or overseed to keep turf healthy through the season.
The crew’s daily tasks include:
- Mowing greens to a consistent height, often below one-eighth of an inch, using walk-behind mowers for precision
- Rolling greens on selected days to smooth putting surfaces and increase speed
- Moving tee markers and cutting cup holes early each morning to keep play fresh
- Raking bunkers and edging sand lines to maintain clean play areas
- Blowing leaves and debris from cart paths and around tee boxes
- Watering specific areas by hand or with overhead sprinklers, depending on weather and turf needs
- Repairing divots and ball marks throughout the day, especially on greens and fairways
Beyond the routine, the crew manages larger projects: tree trimming, drainage improvements, and cart path repairs. Their focus is on providing consistent, playable conditions for every golfer, every day.
The Golf Professional and Pro Shop Staff
Our head professional oversees all player-facing operations. You will find them teaching lessons on the practice range, organising leagues and tournaments, or fitting you for new equipment in the pro shop. They write the daily competition schedule, manage tee-sheet pacing, and coordinate with the starter to keep the flow of players moving. If you have a question about course etiquette, pacing, or rules, the head professional is your resource.
The pro shop team handles the day-to-by details that make your visit smooth. They greet you when you check in, process green fees and membership renewals, and answer questions about course conditions. They also stock and merchandise the shop with gloves, balls, apparel, and accessories you might need. Your rental clubs are cleaned and ready before your round. When you finish, the staff can help you book your next tee time or provide information about upcoming events at any of our courses.
Starters and Marshals
Our starters manage the first tee. They confirm tee times, give you a warm welcome, and provide any last‑minute course information – local rules, out‑of‑bounds markers, or temporary green positions. The starter keeps the schedule on track by calling groups to the tee at the correct interval and encouraging a smooth pace from the start.
Once you are on the course, marshals patrol to monitor pace of play. If a group is falling behind, a marshal will politely remind them to keep up. They also help you locate a lost ball efficiently, enforce cart path rules, and answer questions about hole layout or yardages. Marshals carry radios to communicate with the pro shop and starter if an issue arises. Their goal is to let everyone enjoy an uninterrupted round at a comfortable pace.
Food and Beverage Team
Our food and beverage staff keep you refreshed and fuelled throughout the day. In the clubhouse, they serve breakfast and lunch, prepare snacks, and pour drinks. Two beverage carts circle the course on busy days, stocked with cold water, sports drinks, sandwiches, and packaged snacks. If you want a hot dog at the turn, the cart or halfway house has you covered.
The team also handles catering for tournaments, corporate days, and member events. They set up grills for cookouts, prepare boxed lunches for shotgun starts, and keep the post‑round patio inviting. They clean and restock throughout the day, so you always find a tidy space whether you stop for a quick drink or a full meal after your round.
