Get Fitted with Precision Launch Monitor Technology

Our Performance Centre is equipped with the latest launch monitors. These systems track every aspect of your swing and ball flight: club speed, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, carry distance, and more. We use this data to give you an objective picture of your current equipment performance.

During a fitting session, you hit shots with your own clubs first – that sets a baseline. Then we compare different head models, shaft flexes, and lie angles. The launch monitor tells us exactly what each change does to your dispersion and distance.

  • Ball speed and smash factor
  • Launch angle and peak height
  • Spin rate and spin axis
  • Carry distance and total distance
  • Club path, face angle, and attack angle

A Complete Club Fitting Session – What to Expect

A fitting session at the Performance Centre covers every club in your bag, or just the ones you want to dial in. We start by understanding your game: typical shot shape, miss tendencies, and goals. Then we move to the hitting bay.

You will hit anywhere from 60 to 100 shots depending on the scope. We test driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, and putter if needed. For putter fitting, we use a special putting mat with a laser alignment tool.

The session typically runs 60 to 90 minutes. You walk away with a detailed report of recommended specifications – no obligation to purchase. We can then order the correct components, or you can take the specs to any builder.

Why Shaft Flex and Lie Angle Matter

Shaft flex determines how the club loads and unloads during your swing. A shaft that is too stiff or too soft can cause pushes, pulls, or inconsistent strike. The launch monitor helps us match flex to your swing speed and tempo.

Lie angle – the angle of the shaft relative to the ground at address – affects direction. If your lie angle is too upright, the clubface points left (for a right-handed golfer). Too flat, and it points right. A correctly fitted lie angle helps you hit the centre of the clubface more often and straighten your ball flight.

We also check length, grip size, and swing weight during your fitting. All these small adjustments add up to better contact and more confidence.

Keep Your Swing in Shape Through the Winter

Ontario winters can last five months. Without practice, your swing can lose timing and feel. Our Performance Centre is heated and open year-round, so you can hit balls into a net while watching your numbers on the launch monitor.

Winter practice isn't just about maintaining distance. You can work on tempo, path, face control, and even shot shape without worrying about the ball flight outside. Use the data to focus on specific improvements – for example, reducing spin or increasing launch angle.

We also run small group clinics and individual lessons during the cold months. Book a session, come in when it's snowing, and leave with a clear plan for spring. Your swing won't forget what it learned.
